Our Process of Change

Los Ranchos is changing. We’ve begun a process of active learning as we become a new kind of presbytery, one lofted upon wind-swept wings.

There’s no manual for this, no master plan. It involves a lot of experimenting, a lot of practice, so we know there’s going to be missteps and splashing along the way. We expect our efforts to be messy. That’s part of the process. It’s natural.

But we will be following gifted leaders who’ll rotate through our activities like ducks flying in formation, drafting for one another, taking turns at the head. They’ll teach us new dynamics, guide us in new directions and point out looming dangers. In response, as we move forward, we’ll signal back to them and to each other what we like, what we need, what’s working. It’s an adventure we’re on together.
