Make Known Among the Nations What He has Done
Jon Batarse Gives Thanks Year-around
Jon Batarse, the Communications Director for St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, offers a way for the members of Los Ranchos Presbytery to express their gratitude during the holidays.
In January 2009, he started a ministry website, ThankChrist.com, which combines two of his passions: (1) utilizing design and technology for sharing the Gospel, and (2) being thankful for God’s countless blessings in life. A direct link can be found on our Home Page in the bottom left-corner.
ThankChrist.com is a website where you can share your stories of thanks and blessing with others. Jon launched this ministry website after reading 1 Chronicles 16:8, which says, “Give thanks to the LORD, call on His name; make known among the nations what He has done.” Jon points out, “I wanted to create a place for people to share with the world what God has done, and is currently doing in their lives, and the Internet literally reaches the world. Almost 1.6 billion people are online.”
At this site, people give thanks for a variety of things, and they do it all year long. Recent postings thank Christ for: rain, parents, courage to make sales calls, a heater in the home, a fiancé, a baby girl, a new job.
As he looks at the ThankChrist.com statistics, Jon feels blessed that so many people around the world in such a short time have shared their stories. Thousands of people from almost 50 countries (502 cities) have visited the site, and have either shared their own stories, or have read what others are posting. Thank Christ!
